Peipsi CTC, together with Tampere City Government specialists, organised a study trip to Tampere, on 12.-14. December.

During the trip, partners became acquainted with Tampere City Government's green management, as Tampere is known by very well developed green management system.Tartu City Government used Tampere City knowledge to build up their green management system in the middle of nineties. This study trip provided a good opportunity to introduce Tampere City Government present green management practices for all project cities: Tartu, Rezekne and Pskov.

In Greenman project there is planned two study trips to Tampere - first in winter period and second will take place during spring time. So the project partners are able to see green areas and their maintenance in winter and summer period.

Study trip program consisted of lectures part in Tampere City Government and practical part in Tampere green areas.

Lectures introduced Tampere environment and landscape program, green area program, green area maintenance, green areas and strategic planning in the center of city.

Practical part consisted of walking tour in city center, bus tour to farther green areas in Tampere and maintenance demonstration.
