March 18: Today we opened the digital exhibition of the project “EU Journeys: Uniting Stories of European Integration”, in Peipsiland museum, Mustvee municipality.
This unique exhibition explores Estonian European integration process through innovative creative process and use of artificial intelligence (AI).
The exhibition presents works by young people and community members from the Lake Peipsi region, reflecting Estonia’s journey from the Soviet era to a modern European society. The artworks were created using AI, inspired by European and Estonian culture, science, and nature.
The artworks particularly highlight changes in environmental conditions, as well as urban and rural development, offering a powerful visual narrative of societal transformation.
The creative process was grounded in the study and analysis of existing artworks, research articles, and scientific studies. Participants explored their themes, visual styles, and underlying ideas, translating these insights into descriptive prompts. These prompts were then used to generate images with AI.
Across twenty visual narratives, symbolic references, and artistic interpretations, the exhibition illustrates Europe’s path from fragmentation toward unity, solidarity, and a shared identity. It invites audiences to reflect on how ideas, people, and cultural expressions have shaped—and continue to shape—the European project.
The project “EU Journeys: Uniting Stories of European Integration” is funded by the EU’s CERV programme.
