The kick-off event gives participants an opportunity to get to know each other, build trust within the international group, and become familiar with the objectives, structure, and learning methods of the training programme. The programme combines training sessions, interactive activities, study visits, networking, and experiential learning.
The first training modules introduce participants to natural and cultural heritage in the Estonian and Finnish contexts and explore how heritage can provide inspiration and opportunities for entrepreneurship. Participants will also be introduced to entrepreneurial thinking and business development, creating a foundation for developing their own heritage-based ideas during the coming months.
An important part of the kick-off is learning from real-life examples. In Viljandi, participants will visit local creative and heritage initiatives, including Loomehoovik, the Vilma creative hub, and Bonifatsius Guild. An inspirational walk in Viljandi and joint activities will also help participants discover local heritage and strengthen connections between the Estonian and Finnish groups.
The Viljandi event marks the official start of Training Cycle 2. After the kick-off, participants will continue through the HeritageHunters & Business training programme, developing their knowledge, entrepreneurial skills, networks, and ideas for businesses or initiatives connected with local heritage and nature.
The HeritageHunters & Business program is part of the project CB0600324 – HeritageHunters & Business – Using the Local Nature and Cultural Heritage for Entrepreneurship, which is funded by the Central Baltic Programme 2021–2027. The project partners are the Peipsi Cooperation Center, the Viljandi Cultural Academy of the University of Tartu, the Imatra City Government and the Finnish Museum of Natural Heritage.
