Peipsi Center starts a new project aiming to empower rural youth on sustainable food topics, supported by DEAR programme Reboot project grant
On April 15, Peipsi Center organised a kick-off meeting to start a new project "Youth for Sustainable Food Futures: Mobilizing change in Estonian rural areas", aiming to empower rural youth on sustainable food topics.
Project will equip youth In Lake Peipsi region with the knowledge to understand agroecology, fair food systems, sustainable consumption and the challenges at global and regional levels.
By involving less engaged rural youth though interactive and hands on methods, the project ensures their active participation and fosters a sense of ownership and empowerment.
Empowerment activities will enable youth to influence some practices in their communities and schools.
The proejct is financed through re-granting sceme of DEAR programme project #Rebooting the Food System: Youth Engagement for Agroecology and Due Diligence (Reboot),
