The main objective of the project is to unite ideas, capacity and tools for improvement of nature education situation and so awareness of the society on sustainable development and integrated nature conservation in the project region of territories of Estonia, Latvia and Russia. During the project it is foreseen to create cooperation network between public and non-governmental organisations in Estonia, Latvia and Russia, promote exchange of experience between partners and target groups, raise capacity of 14 nature education centres, elaborate advanced environmental education methods, train target groups to secure spreading out ideas of sustainable development of a long term basis, inform general public about importance of integrated nature conservation thhttp://www.ctc.ee/promoting-involvement-of-ngos-in-countries-of-eastern-europe-caucasus-and-central-asia/people-with-natureat takes into account needs of people but at the same time secures conservation of nature values and functions necessary for secure and sustainable existence of society.
The planned activities are diverse, aimed to reach as wide part of society as possible, like development of nature education centres, create new interactive exhibitions, innovative education materials, training and seminars for young people, teachers, representatives of municipalities, journalists, etc. Activities will be carried out in all three partner countries, mainly in border regions, both in rural and city environment. Activities will be accessible to wide part of society without any exceptions. The results of the project will be more aware society of several Estonia, Latvia and Russia regions that would result in cleaner environment, saved nature values, more healthy and active people.
Main activities carried out by Peipsi CTC include
- complement exhibition "Lake Peipsi Living Room" with interactive exhibits and work sheets. Presentation of new exhibits took place on 5th of June, 2013
- creating mobile study days' box about Lake Peipsi
- purchase of specific equipment for nature education activities (presentation technique for the exhibition and study days, small scale equipment: 1 digital microscope, 4 binoculars)
- carrying out 2 trainings for teachers, nature educators and 9 outdoor study days for students
- compiling study materials, information and promotion materials:

- participating in project joint activities - relevant materials, study visits in Estonia, Latvia and Russia, organising youth camps, joint meetings and seminars, exchange of experiences;
creation of concept of nature education centres;
compiling manual about project results.

Sept 11-12, 2014 project international final event in Pskov, Russia. Peipsi CTC conducted workshop about Lake Peipsi.
Aug 28, 2014 project Estonian final event in Tartu Nature House. More than 80 NEC specialists and teachers participated. An overview of the most important project results were given, Estonian acknowledged historian David Vseviov gave a lecture "How to perceive tiny objects". Workshops were conducted by Nature History Museum Support Society (Latvia), Gauja Nature Park, Latvian Nature Conservation Agency, Tartu Environmental Education Centre and Peipsi CTC.
