Estonian-Russian Cross-Border Cooperation Roundtable
On Monday, 18 December 2006, the Peipsi Center for Transboundary Cooperation and Forum Balticum convened a roundtable in Tartu, “Estonian-Russian Cross-Border Cooperation in 2006”.
The roundtable discussed the development of CBC after the enlargement of the European Union; economic and environmental collaboration of border regions and joint activities in the field of tourism and culture.
The roundtable on Estonian-Russian cross-border cooperation in 2006, supported by Konrad Adenauer Foundation, gathered nearly 40 representatives of local municipalities, county governments, NGOs and educational institutions, from the border areas of Estonia and Russia; also representatives of ministries and international organizations.
The miscellany “Recent experiences of cross-border cooperation on the EU external border (Estonia/Russia)” was also presented during the roundtable gathering.
